About CoinGaja
CoinGaja is a crypto information site and community where you can compare coin prices on Korean and overseas exchanges on one screen and follow the kimchi premium live. Our goal is to let anyone see easily how differently the same coin is priced from country to country and from exchange to exchange.
1. What you can do on CoinGaja
- Kimchi premium price table: compare Korean exchange prices, overseas exchange prices and the gap between them in one table.
- Kimchi premium by coin: sort the kimchi premium of about 120 coins by trading value, from the highest or from the lowest.
- Premium trend charts: see how the kimchi premium moved over the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days and 90 days.
- Telegram alerts: get a Telegram message when a coin reaches a target price you set, moves sharply in a short time or meets a kimchi premium condition; members who sign up also get a kimchi premium summary every night.
- Price widget: put live kimchi premium prices on your blog or website.
- Community: talk about coins on the free board, the Q&A board and the news board (in Korean).
2. Where do the prices come from?
We show the market data each exchange publishes.
- Korean exchanges: Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Digital X (formerly Korbit)
- Overseas exchanges: Binance (the default comparison), OKX, Coinbase (USA), Bybit, Gate, Kraken (Canada), HTX (formerly Huobi), Bitget, Bitfinex, Coins.ph (Philippines), Bitkub (Thailand), bitFlyer (Japan), Indodax (Indonesia), BTC Markets (Australia)
- Exchange rates: market rates such as KRW/USD. The tether (USDT) based premium uses Upbit’s tether price in won.
- Fear & Greed Index: the value provided by Alternative.me.
3. How the kimchi premium is calculated
Kimchi premium (%) = (Korean exchange price ÷ (overseas exchange price × exchange rate) − 1) × 100
The default comparison is Binance, and each coin’s main premium is the median of the Korean exchanges’ prices (Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone and Digital X (formerly Korbit)), so that a jump on one exchange does not shake it much. Choose another overseas exchange under “Base” above the price table to see the gap against that exchange.
When a price is stale, or a market trades too little for its price to be trusted, we hide the value on purpose and show “-”.
4. How often is it updated?
The price table refreshes itself every few seconds. Depending on an exchange or the network, it can be slightly late or differ from the actual price.
5. Contact
